      Ang dagli ay isang anyong pampanitikan na maituturing na maikling maikling kuwento. Bagamat walang katiyakan ang pinagmulan nito sa Pilipinas, sinasabing lumaganap ito sa unang dekada ng pananakop ng mga Amerikano. Wala ring nakatitiyak sa angkop na haba para masabing dagli ang isang akdang pampanitikan. Subalit sinasabing kinakailangang hindi ito aabot sa haba ng isang maikling kuwento. Ang dagli ay isang kwento kung saan may kakaunting salita lamang ang ginagamit.

Magasin

Ang magasin ay naglalaman ng mga maikling kuwento at sunod-sunod na nobela. At meron itong iba't-ibang magasin mula pa sa ibang bansa katulad ng:

• FHM- Ang magasin na ito ay para sa mga kalalakihan upang pag-usapan ang tungkol sa buhay at pag-ibig.
• Cosmopolitan- Para ito sa mga kababaihan tungkol sa kalusugan, kagandahan, at aliwan.
• Good Housekeeping- ito'y para sa mga nanay na tumutulong gawin ang kanilang responsibilidad bilang isang ina sa mga bata.
• YES!- Ang magasin na ito ay tungkol sa mga bagong balitang showbiz. At ito ay naglalaman ng larawan at detalye tungkol sa mga sikat na artista.

• METRO

 Gusto niyo bang malaman ang tungkol sa fashion, mga pangyayari, shopping, at mga isyu tungkol sa nilalaman nitong magazine? Marami sa atin ang gusto malaman ang tungkol sa fashion. At para maging updated tayo kung ano ang mga uso na damit ngayon. Dito mo malalaman ang tungkol sa fashion. Ang metro magazine ay isang fashion at lifestyle magazine.

• CANDY

 Kung gusto niyo malaman ang mga kagustuhan at suliranin ng kabataan ngayon basahin niyo ang candy magazine. Itong magazine ay para sa mga teenagers. At ang laman nitong magazine ay para sa gusto ng mga teenagers, lalo na sa highschool at college students. Hindi lang babae ang mahilig basahin ito at pati na rin ang mga lalake na ginawa itong reference kung paano makipag-usap at para makuha nila ang isang babae.

• MEN’S HEALTH

 Kung gusto niyo malaman ang tungkol sa isyu ng kalusugan ng lalake sa magazine na ito mababasa niyo ang mga gusto niyong malaman. Binabasa ito ng mga kalalakihan dahil ditto nakalagay ang mga paraan sa pag-ehersisyo, pagbabawas ng timbang at mga pagsusuri sa pisikal at mental na kalusugan. Kaya ito naging paborito basahin ng mga kalalakihan.

  Kung naghahanap kayo o gusto niyong malaman ang tungkol sa mga gadgets at ang pinakahuling pagbabago nito, sa magazine na ito malalaman niyo ang mga gusto niyo. Ang magazine na ito ay para lamang sa mga gadget. Ipinakikita  dito ang mga pinakahuling pagbabago sa teknolohiya at kagamitan nito. Nakalagay din dito  ang mga gabay tungkol sa pag-aalaga ng gadget.

• ENTREPRENEUR

  Kung nais niyong magtayo ng negosyo o gusto niyo malaman ang tungkol sa mga negosyo, ditto niyo mahahanap sa magazine na ito. Itong magazine ay tungkol sa mga negosyo. Ang magazine na ito ay para lamang sa may mga negosyo at sa mga may nais na magtayo ng negosyo.

Personality Sketch The  personality  sketch  is  a  short  biography  that includes an individual’s achievements. The “purpose of an  article  of  this  type,  whether  a  success  article  or  a profile, is to portray the intimate details of character and personality  of  someone.  The  person  may  be  widely known, one who has achieved some form of greatness or  someone  whose  life  is  in  some  way  interesting  or remarkable. The individual does not have to be a famous show business or political personality; this type of story could just as well be written about a Navy person. A Navy jet pilot who adopted an entire orphanage of Japanese children was the subject of an article of this kind. Another dealt with a sailor aboard a destroyer who spent his reenlistment bonus on football equipment so his shipmates could compete against the crew members of  larger  Navy  ships.  Still  other  sketches  have  been written  about  Navy  scientists,  combat  heroes,  chaplains, test  pilots  and  athletes.

“Personal Experience Unusual adventures, unique accomplishments, rare travel  experiences  and  countless  other  personal experiences lend themselves to treatment in this type of article.My  60  Days  Under  the  Sea  in  an  Atomic Submarine,”  “I  Fly  With  the  Blue  Angels”  and  “I Walked  on  the  Moon”  are  typical  titles  of  personal experience   articles. Thousands  of  Navy  men  and  women  have  had exciting   personal   experiences   they   might   have developed  into  good  magazine  articles.  Quite  often, however, they do not have the ability, the time or the inclination   to   write   these   experiences   on   paper. Nevertheless,   they   usually   will   talk   about   their experiences which can provide a good story opportunist y for a journalist in search of ideas. When you write this type of article, use the “as told to...” byline. You should also use caution when writing in the first person. The frequent use of “I” can become, or  appear,  egotistical

As the days begin to get longer and the sunshine starts to peek through the snowy haze, shorts and sandals have begun to make their way onto runways and sales floors. Though winter is still upon us, spring is getting closer every day. It’s time to thaw out and get to the mall to start filling your wardrobe with the most essential looks for the upcoming season.

One overarching trend that’s visible throughout many of the spring lines is bold contrast. This can be seen in the form of bold stripes and even head-to-toe black and white combinations. The contrast can be reminiscent of ‘80s color blocking, a carryover from 2012, especially when paired with a denim jacket or retro-wash jean. In navy, it can also be nautical-themed.

Full skirts—on dresses or alone—are also hot for spring. The look to aim for is slim at the shoulders with an A-line skirt that is a bit on the short side. Bold colors are a hit here as well. A contrasting cardigan makes an excellent partner for this piece, as do flats or low heels, which replace the four-inch stilettos of years past. Pointy-toed shoes will also make a comeback for the first time since the late ‘90s.

Embellishments are everywhere this spring. From beads to sequins to stitching, the patterns are inspired by a variety of cultures. Asian designs, Indian motifs, and even just a simple trim help the most basic garment transition easily from daytime to evening wear.

Another trend that is emerging on the spring scene is cut-outs. From large geometric shapes to small perforated openings, almost like a snowflake, skin is peeking through in a variety of places. While this trend is generally tastefully done, there may still be some who are hesitant to bare even a little more skin than they’re accustomed to. A suggestion is to pair this look with another popular look, sheer layers. A overlay of gauzy fabric, particularly white, will be seen frequently in combination with the cut-outs.

A few trends that we failed to mention include bra tops, drop waist dresses, and plastic outerwear. While perhaps not for everyone, even these fads can look great if done right. But always remember that the best look is the one that makes you feel comfortable in your own skin. Don’t make yourself a slave to fashion at the sacrifice of what suits you best. As Coco Chanel herself so eloquently stated, “Fashion fades; only style remains the same.” And wearing clothes that fit and flatter is always in style.
